East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) has three children’s hospice care services based at Milton in Cambridge, Ipswich in Suffolk and Quidenham in Norfolk.
EACH’s three multi-disciplinary care teams help children with life-threatening conditions and complex healthcare needs, and their families, with the emotional and physical challenges they face, helping them to make the most of life. They welcome the whole family for a short break together or time to themselves in a home-from-home environment or in the comfort of their own home. They offer a diverse range of services including: care at end of life, short break care, specialist play, music therapy, telephone support, practical help, advice and information and bereavement support for all family members, including siblings and grandparents.
The cost of EACH’s services and how they raise funds
EACH is a registered charity (1069284) which relies on public support for approximately 75% of its required income of around £5.5million a year.
This means that over £11,000 needs to be raised every single day to enable EACH to continue providing its vital care and support.
How profits from the Lottery help
Profits from the Local Hospice Lottery help EACH to meet their running costs, but most importantly the lottery helps to provide EACH with a regular stream of income on which they can depend, each and every month. A little help can make a BIG difference!
Other ways you can help EACH
There are lots of other ways you can help EACH carry on caring. These include:
- Making a regular or a ‘one-off’ tax effective donation
- Having a ‘loose change box’
- Leaving a gift in your Will (‘a legacy’)
- Fundraising - as an individual, a group, via a school or through your company.
- Donating items to sell in EACH shops
- Recycling your mobile phone or computer ink cartridges
