Local Hospice Lottery welcomes Peace Hospice Care!
Local Hospice Lottery is delighted to announce the launch of a brand new partnership with Peace Hospice Care (Watford), which aims to raise over £800,000 towards the care and support of families across South West Hertfordshire, and the wider surrounding area, over the next five years alone!
Declan Carroll, Chief Executive of Peace Hospice Care, said: “This is a great opportunity for us and we’re really pleased to be in partnership with Local Hospice Lottery. This new arrangement will give us both a higher percentage of the money given and reduce our costs. I hope that will encourage many more people to sign up to the Local Hospice Lottery in support of us.”
Local Hospice Lottery has now raised over £14 million for hospice care throughout Great Britain and Peace Hospice Care becomes the 17th hospice to join what is now the country’s largest and fastest growing lottery for hospices. From now onwards, players can sign up to play in support of Peace Hospice Care and the Hospice will directly benefit from their on-going support.
Anyone aged 16 or over can join the Lottery in support of Peace Hospice Care and have a great chance to win, whilst also helping to provide essential hospice care to thousands of local families.
Cheryl Bunkle, Head of Marketing & Account Management at Local Hospice Lottery, adds: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Peace Hospice Care to the Local Hospice Lottery family and look forward to seeing their membership, and ultimately the amount of income raised for the Hospice, grow over the coming years.
“Players can sign up to play in support of Peace Hospice Care right now, for just £1 per week, via our website, by calling the Lottery Office on 0800 316 0645, or through picking up a leaflet at the Hospice or one of its charity shops. Considering that players have the chance to win one of 153 cash prizes each week, and the Hospice directly benefits from their support, it really is a win-win situation!”
Paid Local Hospice Lottery fundraisers will be operating door-to-door and at public venues across South West Hertfordshire, and the wider surrounding area, over the coming months to offer local people the opportunity to sign up and play. They will be wearing clearly branded uniforms and carrying identification cards. Photographs of our fundraisers can be found under the ‘Meet the Team’ section on our website.
