Eleanor from West Dunbartonshire was surprised and overjoyed to learn she had won £2,000 through playing the Local Hospice Lottery in support of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS)!
Eleanor has been playing our lottery for six years and said: “I was delighted when I got the call to say I had won as I have never really won anything before. I have a good friend whose son suffered from Muscular Dystrophy and sadly died young. Even though they didn’t use CHAS personally I know the charity does so much good work in helping children and families who have similar circumstances which is why I am proud to play the Local Hospice Lottery in support of CHAS.”
“I am going to be a gran for the first time in the new year, so I am looking forward to spending some of my winnings on something for my new grandchild.”
CHAS Fundraising Campaigns Co-ordinator, Danielle McNally, who presented the cheque to Eleanor at Robin House, said: “I am delighted that Eleanor has won this amazing sum of money from the Local Hospice Lottery. Supporters like Eleanor who play the Lottery in support of CHAS make a real difference to local families in need of our help as the Lottery provides a regular income for the charity so it really is win-win!”
Since we partnered with CHAS in 2014, their amazing supporters have raised over £3.5 million to help the Hospice to provide unwavering care to children who may die young, and their families, at every step of their journeys.
