Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion is a voluntary option for players who wish to take a break from the Local Hospice Lottery due to personal circumstances or to maintain responsible gambling habits. It is different from cancellation, as self-exclusion ensures you are removed from future draws for at least six months (up to five years). If you’re looking to cancel your membership, you can do so here.

To self-exclude, you can fill out our online form below, email, write or call our Customer Experience TEAM. You’ll need to provide your full name, address, and exclusion period. If you pay by standing order or direct debit, you must also contact your bank to cancel your payments.

Once your request is processed, you will be removed from all future draws, refunded any remaining balance and excluded from marketing communications. Your supported hospice will also be informed to prevent further gambling-related contact.

Even after the exclusion period ends, you will not be automatically reinstated. If you wish to play again, you must contact the lottery team to request reinstatement. A 24-hour cooling-off period applies before you can rejoin.

For additional support, players can access multi-operator self-exclusion schemes through GamCare or GAMSTOP, which enable exclusion from multiple gambling operators.
