Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home
It has always been extremely important to support our local hospices, but today it is more important than ever before. Because of your weekly £1s, we are still running our weekly draw and able to generate a regular and reliable income that Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home can rely on. So THANK YOU!
Please be aware that due to the current situation surrounding the Coronavirus, it may take us a little longer than usual to answer enquiries and process new membership packs. However, rest assured that we are on the case and that we will get back to you as soon as we possibly can.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home provides vital care for terminally ill children and their families throughout Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath & North East Somerset. Jessie May’s vision is a world in which all children and young people with life limiting conditions are empowered and able to access the support they want for themselves and their families. The money raised by people taking part in the Local Hospice Lottery helps to fund these essential services and enables Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home to keep caring for local families, when and where they need it most.
How playing the Local Hospice Lottery helps Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home
All of the services provided by Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home are given completely free of charge and this is only made possible through the ongoing support of the local community. Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home only receives 15% of their funding from the NHS so need to raise over £1.5 million every year to keep its vital services running.
Profits from the Local Hospice Lottery help towards the running costs of Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home and provides a regular stream of income which they can rely on receiving, each and every month. Not only does this help to provide essential care and support to local families right now, it also enables Jessie May to plan and develop their services for the future.
For each £1 entry in the weekly draw Local Hospice Lottery gives an average of 60p to hospice care. The Jessie May Trust is one of a number of hospices throughout Great Britain supported by Local Hospice Lottery. Local Hospice Lottery will give between 55% and 80% of profits from individuals playing in support of The Jessie May Trust to The Jessie May Trust. This is expected to be at least £250,000 over five years from February 2019.
