Peace Hospice Care is dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients facing a life-limiting illness across Hertfordshire, as well as their families and carers. The Hospice provides support at end-of-life, but the majority of their work focuses on supporting those with life-limiting illnesses who have many more years to live.

 

Peace Hospice currently cares for over 1,500 patients every year, whilst also supporting their families through what is inevitably a very difficult time.

 

All of the Hospice’s services are given completely free of charge and this simply would not be possible without the ongoing generosity and goodwill of the community it serves. Every year they need to raise £5 million to continue to run and deliver their specialist services across Hertfordshire.

 

Profits from the Local Hospice Lottery help towards Peace Hospice Care’s running costs and provides a regular stream of income which they can rely on receiving, each and every month. Not only does this help to provide essential care and support to local families right now, it also enables Peace Hospice Care to plan and develop their services for the future.

 

In 2020 for each £1 entry in the weekly draw Local Hospice Lottery gave an average of 68p to hospice care. Peace Hospice Care is one of a number of hospices throughout Great Britain supported by Local Hospice Lottery. Local Hospice Lottery will give between 55% and 80% of profits from individuals playing in support of Peace Hospice Care to Peace Hospice Care.

 

With the help of wonderful supporters like you, this is expected to be at least £800,000 over five years (from August 2017)!
