Jacqueline’s (left) Monday brightened up when she received the weekly winners’ call! It’s not every day you win £2,000!
Having played the Lottery in support of Farleigh Hospice for a few years, Jacqueline was ecstatic when she heard the good news and said, “I am delighted to win £2,000 in the Local Hospice Lottery. I plan to spend the money on a trip and some meals out with my family.
I play to help raise money for Farleigh Hospice because friends of mine have been cared for by Farleigh and they have been looked after very well. The team there do a great job and their care makes end of life better. I am very happy to support this local charity.”
Local Hospice Lottery originally started in 1996, as Farleigh Hospice’s lottery and a way of generating a regular and reliable income stream to help fund hospice care across mid Essex. In 2007, the decision was made to develop the Lottery for the benefit of other hospices across Great Britain. Now supporting 38 hospices, Local Hospice Lottery raises vital funds for the essential care and services they provide in their local communities – over £60 million raised for hospice care so far!
